Buddhist idea of free will

The Buddhist vision is to ask: how can we become as free as possible?

Freedom is defined as an ability to make wise and compassionate decisions that are of benefit to one's self and for others.

Meditation is the facilitation of this.

In short, there are moments when we are more free and moments when we are less free. For example when we are angry or jealous, we are less free. When we are feeling universal love we are maximally free. So concentrate on loving kindness and metta and you will have free will.
